This policy governs the participation of independent individuals and businesses (“Agents”) in the Wonderweb Referral Program. By applying to join and submitting referrals, you agree to be bound by this policy. Violation may result in termination, forfeiture of commissions, and legal action.

1. Program Overview

The Wonderweb Referral Program permits independent individuals and businesses to earn a fixed commission by referring web design clients to us. This program is non‑exclusive (Agents may refer to other providers as well).

Important: This program applies exclusively to web design services (Standard, Premium, Enterprise packages). Referrals for hosting‑only clients (i.e., a client who purchases only hosting without a website design project) earn no commission.

The program is single‑tier: Agents earn commission only for clients they directly refer. No commissions are paid for sub‑referrals (i.e., a client of a client).


2. Who Can Join

Any individual or business with a legitimate interest in promoting our web design services may apply. Approval is required before submitting any referrals. To apply, send a request via WhatsApp or email with your name, contact number, and brief description of your promotional method.

You must not:

  • Submit referrals before receiving written approval (via WhatsApp or email).
  • Use deceptive, illegal, or harassing methods to generate leads.
  • Refer yourself, your immediate family, or your own business (self‑referral fraud).

We reserve the right to reject any application without providing a reason.


3. Commission Structure

Commission is paid only after Wonderweb receives full payment from the referred client for a web design package. The amount depends on the package the client purchases:

  • Standard Package ($45) – Commission: $5 USD
  • Premium Package ($100) – Commission: $10 USD
  • Enterprise Package ($350) – Commission: $35 USD
  • Custom quotation projects – Commission is not payable unless we agree in writing on a case‑by‑case basis. Do not assume commission on custom projects.

No Commission for Hosting‑Only

If a client purchases only hosting (any hosting plan, including reseller hosting) without also purchasing a web design package, you earn $0 commission. The referral must lead to a signed web design project.

Commission Payout

Within 24–48 hours after we receive full payment from the client, we will pay your commission via EcoCash or bank transfer (Zimbabwe). For international agents, we may use PayPal, minus any transfer fees. You must provide accurate payout details.

Multiple Purchases

If a referred client purchases multiple websites (e.g., a Standard package and later a Premium package for a different domain), you earn commission for each qualifying purchase, provided each purchase is a separate web design project. For example: Standard ($5) + Premium ($10) = $15 total. If a client upgrades from Standard to Premium after the original purchase, we will pay the difference in commission ($10 – $5 = $5) at the time of upgrade.

Direct Referral Rule

Commission is payable only for the specific client you directly introduced. If that client later refers another client (their own friend or business), you are not entitled to commission on the second referral. That second referral would need to be submitted by the original client as an agent (if they apply and are approved).


4. Referral Process

You must follow this process exactly. Failure to do so may result in commission denial or program termination.

  1. Promote under your own brand. You are not permitted to use Wonderweb’s name or branding in your promotional materials. You may say “I work with a web design company called Wonderweb” but not present yourself as Wonderweb.
  2. Obtain client consent. Before sharing any client details with us, you must obtain the client’s explicit consent (written, including WhatsApp). Inform the client that you will share their name and phone number with us for a web design quote.
  3. Submit the referral. Send the client’s full name and phone number (and optionally email) to us via WhatsApp (+263 784 289 689) or email ([email protected]). Do not use any other channel.
  4. We contact the client. We will reach out within 24 hours to offer a consultation. We handle all communication, proposals, and payments from that point forward.
  5. Commission is earned after full payment. Once the client pays in full, we track the commission against your referral record.

7‑Day Attribution Rule

“Engages” means the client has spoken to us directly (via WhatsApp, phone, email, or form submission) about a website they want.

  • If a client first contacts us directly (without any agent involvement), that interaction is primary for 7 calendar days.
  • If the client later contacts you (an agent) within those 7 days, you are not entitled to commission – the direct interaction takes precedence.
  • After 7 days have passed with no direct interaction, commission may apply if the client engages through you.

We determine attribution based on timestamps in our system. Disputes must be raised within 14 days of the client’s first contact.

Fraudulent Referrals (Examples – Non‑Exhaustive)

The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination, forfeiture of all unpaid commissions, and possible legal action:

  • Fake leads: Submitting names and phone numbers of individuals who have not consented or do not exist.
  • Self‑referrals: Referring yourself, your spouse, your children, your own business, or any entity you control.
  • Re‑submitting existing leads: Claiming a lead that we can prove already contacted us directly (e.g., via our website form) before you submitted it.
  • Sharing without consent: Submitting a person’s details without their explicit permission.
  • Incentivising falsely: Paying or offering rewards to third parties to generate fake leads.

We may use automated and manual checks to detect fraud. If we suspect fraud, we may withhold commission pending investigation.


5. Branding & Advertising Guidelines

You are not permitted to:

  • Use the name “Wonderweb Technologies” or any variation (e.g., “Wonder Web”, “Wonderweb”) in your own brand name, domain, social media handle, or business registration.
  • Use our logos, wordmarks, or any copyrighted material from our websites.
  • Repost our official flyers, images, or marketing copy as your own. You may only use referral materials we specifically provide for agents, and you must not alter them to remove our branding (if present).
  • Promise any service or guarantee that we do not explicitly offer on our website (e.g., “Lifetime hosting for $10” is false).
  • Discuss internal policies, pricing negotiations, or decision‑making processes as if you have authority.

You are permitted to:

  • Operate under your own brand (e.g., “John’s Web Solutions”).
  • Use the referral flyers and templates we provide (which may include our name) – but you must not modify them to imply you are us.
  • Describe Wonderweb as your “design partner” or “the company that builds the websites”.
  • Clearly state that Wonderweb delivers the final product, supports the client, and handles billing.

6. Client Handover Procedure

When a client is ready to proceed, you must send them the following exact message (or equivalent in your own words, but with the same meaning):

“I’m now handing you over to my web design partner, Wonderweb Technologies. They will handle your website and provide full support. I’ll still be here if you need any help.”

Client relationship upon handover: Once the client is handed over to Wonderweb Technologies via the message above, the client automatically becomes a direct client of Wonderweb. All further communication regarding the project (including consultation, quoting, design, billing, support, and any post‑delivery services) will be conducted directly between Wonderweb and the client. The agent has no authority to intervene, modify, or influence the client relationship after handover. The agent may continue to provide general encouragement but must not represent that they are part of Wonderweb or that they have any control over the project.

After you send this message, you must not continue to communicate with the client about project details (scope, price, deadlines) unless we explicitly ask you to. All further communication is between the client and Wonderweb. You may still provide general encouragement or answer non‑technical questions, but you must not interfere with our process.


7. Code of Conduct

You must at all times:

  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and with our team.
  • Avoid any false or misleading claims about our services, pricing, or your relationship with us.
  • Respect client privacy – never share their information without consent, and never use their information for any purpose other than referring them to us.
  • Represent only your own brand, not ours. Always correct any client who mistakenly thinks you are part of Wonderweb.
  • Not engage in any activity that could harm our reputation, including spamming, aggressive sales tactics, or posting fake reviews.

Violation of the Code of Conduct is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of any unpaid commissions.


8. Support from Wonderweb

We support our Agents with:

  • Brand compliance guidance: We will advise you on how to present yourself without violating our policies. However, you remain ultimately responsible for your own marketing.
  • Custom referral materials: Upon request, we may provide you with flyers, social media images, or text templates that you can use (without alteration).
  • Referral tracking: We maintain a log of referrals and commissions. You may request a status update at any time.
  • WhatsApp and email support: For agent‑specific questions (e.g., “Is this lead eligible?”). Please use the referral channel.

We do not provide technical support for your own website or business – only for questions related to the Referral Program.


9. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend your participation or terminate the agreement immediately without prior notice if:

  • You violate any provision of this policy (including fraud, misrepresentation, or spamming).
  • We receive complaints about your conduct from clients or third parties.
  • You fail to respond to our communications for more than 30 days.
  • We discontinue the Referral Program for all Agents (in which case we will pay any outstanding commissions already earned).

Upon termination:

  • You forfeit any unpaid commissions for referrals that have not yet resulted in client payment.
  • You must immediately cease any marketing that could be associated with Wonderweb.
  • You are not eligible to re‑apply to the program.

10. Taxes

Wonderweb does not currently withhold any taxes from commissions. You are solely responsible for declaring your earnings to your local tax authority and paying any applicable income tax, VAT, or other levies. If we are required by law to withhold taxes in the future, we will notify you and deduct the appropriate amount. We recommend consulting a tax professional to understand your obligations.
