1. Your Responsibility for Backups
You are solely responsible for maintaining complete, up‑to‑date backups of all files, databases, emails, and configurations stored on our servers. We strongly advise that you keep at least one independent copy of your data on your local computer or a separate cloud service.
2. Automated Backups (Courtesy Service)
For shared hosting and reseller hosting plans, we perform automated backups on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using industry‑standard tools (JetBackup). These backups are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed to be available, complete, or restorable.
We do not offer automated backups for VPS or dedicated servers unless you purchase a separate backup add‑on.
3. How to Restore from an Automated Backup
You can attempt to restore files, databases, or email from available backups via cPanel:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Navigate to the JetBackup section.
- Choose the type of restore (Files, Databases, Email, etc.).
- Select a backup date and time, then click Restore.
If JetBackup is not available or you need assistance, contact our support team. However, we cannot guarantee that a backup from a specific date will exist.
4. Limitations & Liability
Wonderweb Technologies is not liable for:
- Partial or complete loss of backups
- Missing backups from specific dates or times
- Corrupt or incomplete backup files
- Hardware or software failures that affect backup integrity
- Any data loss whatsoever, even if automated backups were enabled
Under no circumstances will we be held responsible for restoring your data. You agree to maintain your own backups as your sole remedy against data loss.
5. Recommendations
To protect your data, we recommend that you:
- Create a full backup via cPanel (Backup → Download a Full Account Backup) at least once a week.
- Before making major changes to your website (updating CMS, installing plugins, modifying code), take a manual backup.
- Store backups on a different physical device or cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, or your local computer).
- Test your backups periodically to ensure they can be restored.
